Why do most weight loss diet claim that theirs are the top weight loss diet?

All weight loss diets in the market would have made some claims that theirs is the best weight loss program that is available. Based on my experience all weight loss programs helps you to lose weight. The problem is that after losing some weight, can we maintain our ideal weight or worse that we put back the weight after going off the diet? The following is an article that claims how effective its diet is.

Article: The 500 Calorie Diet - Diets For Quick Weight Loss By Dan Beckwith

Engaging in diets for quick weight loss can be very dangerous. But, if you don't mind taking risks with your health, the 500 calorie diet might be right for you. Keep in mind, that even when considering diets for quick weight loss, the 500 calorie diet is a very extreme form of dieting. Even so, it tends to be extremely popular.

The reason for the popularity, obviously, is that you will lose weight quickly. Low-calorie diets abound among people who are looking for quick weight loss. But even among those low-calorie diets, 500 calories per day is at the low end of the spectrum.

First, for a definition...For a diet to be considered low calorie, the arbitrary cutoff point is 1200 calories per day. Anything below that is considered to be a low-calorie diet. Clearly the whole idea of a low-calorie diet is to lose weight quickly, but again - it can be quite dangerous so it should always be thoroughly planned with a nutritionist or your family doctor.

It's well known that the best way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you eat. You can do this by burning more, or by eating less. Your body needs a certain number of calories just to exist. If you're not eating enough, the theory is that your energy needs will be taken from the fat calories in your body.

The problem is, our body is very smart. It won't just keep burning the same number of calories and taking the excess from fat. Your body doesn't know that you are on a diet. It will think you're starving. To help keep you alive, it will cut way back on the number of calories that uses. To do this it will slow down your metabolic rate and will start eating away at your muscle mass - to get it's needed calories.

Over a long-term, this is disastrous. Your muscles burn far more calories than your fat, so if you lose them, it not only has a bad effect on your body but it also affects your ability to keep weight off in the future. The 500 calorie diet, as one of the diets for quick weight loss - works... but only for a short term.

The negative effects can vary depending on your body type, height, activity level, overall health and gender. 500 calories per day may be sufficient for some people for a short while.

For the vast majority of us, especially if we are carrying extra weight, eating only 500 calories per day is literally starving our bodies. Most likely, you've been taking in 2000 to 5000 (or more) calories per day and suddenly dropping to 500 will immediately move your body into starvation mode. So, your metabolism slows way down in order to conserve energy.

Our bodies are quite adaptable. In a very short time you will learn to survive on 500 calories per day. (At least until you run out of calories to burn...then you'll go into a coma and die.)

Thankfully, the majority of us discontinue our dieting before that happens. As soon as your diet is over, and you go back to your old eating habits - like we all do - you will have a sudden gain in weight. Actually, you'll gain more weight than you would have, had you not ever gone on a diet to begin with. Diets for quick weight loss just don't work. Plus, since you have lost so much muscle mass, it makes it much harder to maintain your weight in the future.

The most effective method of determining a healthy, livable daily calorie level, is by using a BMR/AMR calculator. It will tell you how many calories are necessary to support your health and your lifestyle. Once you know how many calories you need to maintain your weight, then you can subtract 500 calories per day, and you have one of the ideal diets for quick weight loss success.

Obviously, the mass and body size of women is dramatically different than that of men. That means, they need a different number of calories to survive. While the average man may eat 1500 to 1600 calories per day, the average woman may eat only 1200 to 1300 calories per day. You must consult your physician before starting any diet, safety has to come first.

So, to wrap it up... in the realm of diets for quick weight loss, the 500 calorie per day diet is very popular. It will work to help you lose weight, but it can be very dangerous - And your weight loss is only temporary at best. You should never cut back that dramatically on your calories without the constant monitoring and supervision of a doctor.

All weight loss plans are good. Which is the right one for you?

All weight loss plans and programs are good. It works for some and it does not work for others. The question is whether you have found one that is suitable for you? The following article examines how one can design their own weight loss program. Have a good read.

Article: How to Create Your Own Customized Weight Loss Diet Plan By Errick Ang

The purpose of creating your own weight loss diet plan is crucial for those who losing weight. Every different weight loss diet plan is suitable for different people in order to lose weight effectively. Simply follow a general weight loss diet plan may not give you the effective fat loss results.

First step is to create your own weight loss diet plan is to calculate your daily calorie maintenance level. It based on many factors and is different for each individual. For example, two people with same height and weight might find their maintenance level have hundreds of calories apart. If you want to create your diet plan effectively, you might need to calculate your daily calorie maintenance level more accurately. Basically you need to use your current calorie intake as the number of calories to start the calculations. Simply pick a day that you eat normally and keep track the number of calories in everything you consume. Do a summation of the calories for the day and average it out throughout 7 days. The average calories should be your daily calorie maintenance level.

Second step to create an effective weight loss diet plan is by using your daily calorie maintenance level and subtract 500 from it. For example your daily calorie maintenance level is 3500, after subtract 500 it will become 3000. This new amount of calories is the daily calories you should take in for your own weight loss diet plan. By doing this, you would be in a calorie deficit that can lose weight effectively in short time.

Now you have your own reference calorie maintenance level. You might want to break your weight loss diet into 5-6 smaller meals per day and spread those calories evenly among them. It will help to speed up your metabolism. It also will help keep you satisfied because you eat so frequently every 2-3 hours. Another benefit is it will supply your body with the nutrients it needs consistently throughout the day.

Lose inches around your waist, look and feel better and drop up to 10lbs in overall weight 2 Weeks from Today = The Start of a New YOU. Click me.

Last thing you need to do is make sure that the calories you are consuming each day are coming from the right food sources. Protein for example is 1 gram contains 4 calories. Also keep in mind that 1 gram of fat contains 9 calories. One carb contains 4 calories. By referring to this calories level should give you a good picture to create the plan.

Of course there is no limitation on what type of food you want to include in your diet plan as long as it follows the suggest daily calorie maintenance level. Hence it gives you great freedom to create your own simple and customized weight loss diet.

Cove's Comments: Having your own weight loss program has its advantage. It means you have more control over it. Also, there is a tendency for you to continue with the program and not stopped halfway through it and give-up. Weight loss: the yo yo syndrome and why weight loss don't stay permanent

Lose 9lbs every 11 days the simple way. Click me.

Guess most of us weight conscious folks have experienced this before. Go on a diet and shed some pounds. Happy with the weight loss, we became careless and pile on the weights. It is never ending and more of a cycle. This will have an impact on our health too. I came across an article written by Bettina Berlin where she discusses about weight loss and the causes of the yo-yo effect. Have a read to be more informed.

Article: Best Weight Loss Diet - Why Most Diets Don't Work and What You Need For Effective Weight Loss By Bettina Berlin

If you are trying to lose weight, this most likely sounds familiar to you: You lose weight and you gain weight, you lose and you gain. Nothing really seems to help. It's frustrating and it's pushing your self-esteem to the ground.

Know that you are not the only one caught in this vicious cycle of yoyo-dieting. For most people, diets don't work. Did you know that 95% of all people going on a diet never achieve permanent weight loss?

There are two reasons for that: Those fad diets are designed for short-term weight loss. And they don't teach you what you need to know to achieve long-term weight loss.

To break the yoyo-diet-cycle, you need to understand three things:

1. how your body works and what dieting does to it
2. what is really leading to permanent weight loss
3. how you can maintain your new weight

1. How does your body work and what does dieting do to it?

Your body assumes your current weight is its normal weight. If you go on a crash diet with tiny portions, it will suspect a famine and try to protect itself. Every calorie it can spare is then stored.

Additionally, restrictive diets can easily cause a lack of certain nutrients. All foods (except plain fatty and sugary foods) naturally are part of your diet, and all of them provide you with important nutrients you need. That's why diets make you feel tired, irritable and miserable.

The amazing instant fat loss secret that doctors refuse to tell you about. Click to find out more.

When you stop dieting, your body rejoices that food is available again - and tries its utmost to restore its previous weight. Meaning: When you diet, you work against your body, and your body works against you. That's why crash diets don't achieve long-term weight loss.

2. What does really lead to permanent weight loss?

Your current lifestyle caused your overweight. So, if you want to lose weight, you need to determine what precisely made you gain weight, and you need to eliminate it. Not for a few weeks, but through permanent lifestyle changes.

As strange as it sounds, the most effective way to lose weight is changing your habits. Replace the habits that made you fat (eating lots of fast food and sweets, eating for the joy of eating, zero physical activity) with healthier habits (eating foods rich in nutrients rather than calories, e.g. fruit, vegetables and grains, reasonable portions, more physical activity).

It will take time, but it will be much more effective and much healthier than crash diets. Your body needs slow changes. It needs to get used to a different diet and more physical activity. If you lose weight gradually, you give your body time to adapt its self-image and accept the new "default weight".

3. How can you maintain your new weight?

If you lose weight through taking up healthier habits, you got a very good chance to keep your new weight for a long time, because you made lasting changes. You adapted a healthier lifestyle. You have learned to make healthy food choices, have adapted healthier eating habits, and you are active on a regular basis. You have successfully eliminated the causes of your overweight.

Now, all you need to do to maintain your healthy weight is to continue living this healthy life. And since you have made this your habit, this is now easy. This healthy lifestyle is your life now, and you happily live it without even having to think about what to do. That's how easy it can be.

Losing weight will always require lots of commitment from your side. You need the will to make changes, and you need to make them. But with this strategy, everyone should be able to achieve permanent weight loss. The most crucial factor for success is to ensure that your new healthier lifestyle is so great that you don't miss the old one. Change your lifestyle instead of dieting, and losing weight can even be fun.

Cove's Comments: I especially like the part on "How can you maintain your new weight". It is so true especially the healthier lifestyle bit. Information on weight loss can be found at Weight Loss Information: 101 Tips On Weight Loss.

Weight Loss: Deciding on the best weight loss diet program for yourself.

This is a tough question to answer. Not all weight loss programs will have the same effect on everyone. So how best to decide on it? Based on my own experience, I would say that it is sometimes a trial and error process. If you are lucky, the first program you try turns out to be the right one for you. For myself, I tried a number of weight loss programs. Some costs me up to a few thousand dollars. And though it seems to work for other people, it does not work for me. The following article by Amna Kamran gives an overview of deciding on a weight loss program.

Article: What is the Best Weight Loss Diet? By Amna Kamran

A best weight loss diet shall be able to lose your weight provided it contains plenty of fruits, proteins and vegetables. It should have very less sugar, carbohydrates and fat. The best weight loss diet shall consist of foods which can be obtained without any difficulty. These foods will be easy to prepare and serve. If the details of the diet are difficult, then you might drop your motivation to lose weight.

A diet if made at home will be the best weight loss diet. You will be more expected to stick to your diet plan. Chances of its success will be even better if the plan goes fine with your lifestyle and the most significant, your resources. Your chart should be comprised of a mixture of vegetables, fruits, whole grains and lean meat and you may also include any substitute of protein. Prepared food such as white flour, sugar and bread made from white flour shall be removed from your chart.

The main supplier to our body's weight is processed foodstuff such as sugar and items made from white flour. All of the nourishing and good part in white flour has been removed during the mechanized method at the mill. These kinds of foods are at once changed to sugar as soon as they go into the body's system. This is because they are previously extremely over processed.

During the design stage of your best weight loss diet, it is very important that you take into consideration these two aspects that will make you lose weight:

1. Make certain that each one of the foodstuff in the diet chart is normal and high rated in dietary terms.

2. Find out the quantity of calorie in the foods. In order to maintain your weight a certain amount of calorie eating into the body is required. For a female to reduce her weight and become thin, she should decrease her calorie intake to about 1500 calories per day. For a man to lose his weight, he should lessen his calorie intake to about 2000 calories per day. These things should be taken care of when you are making your own best weight loss diet.

The best weight loss diet that you prepare must be helpful, realistically priced and should not be rejected by your family. A great way to make sure of this is to make a healthy diet chart for your whole family. It is very important that you should not disclose the chart to your family. Just say, it is a healthy diet which is necessary to keep each family member healthy and happy. Just say, it is a healthy diet which is necessary to keep each family member healthy and happy.

Cove's Comments: As I've said, looking for a weight loss program is a trial and error effort. Even if you found a program that you like, there is also the possibility that you may not continue with the program due to a number of reasons. Do not give up hope but persevere. It is only a question of time before you find the right diet program and more importantly able to continue with the program on a long term basis. Weight loss: Is fast weight loss good for a person?

Whenever anyone asked me how I managed to lose my weight, I told them that I had to go through a lot of trials and error before I found the right method that suits me. Long answer to a short question. And inevitably will come the question on how fast did I managed to lose my weight. Weight loss is not a matter of how fast you can take it off. I've found an interesting article written by Josephine Carthage. Have a read as I find that her opinions are worth considering.

Here is some helpful advice for you if you want to lose weight.

The best way to get that confidence level back up in your physical appearance is to lose weight the right way over a few months. If you lose your weight too fast, then you will not be able keep it off and it probalby is not going to be the right type of weight for you to lose anyway. Lose Weight: Modify the diet that you find which can help you lose weight

Recently I came across an interesting article which I found on the internet. It proposes a diet based on the well known Atkins Diet. Here is the article. Hope it helps. Please see my comments after reading this article.

Article: Eco Atkins Weight Loss Diet For Lowering Cholesterol Levels By Ryan Sanders Platinum Quality Author

The Eco Atkins diet is meatless adaptation of high protein as well as low carbohydrate regime. The real Atkins diet and few other type of high protein diet carries good amount of fish, poultry and meat. Little carbohydrate, great animal protein diet, which really encouraged for weight reduce, will not support the desired fall in LDL cholesterol intensity and can really increase few cancer as well as cholesterol connected heart problems.

Eco Atkins diets carry proteins that come from the plant food. Main sources are soy as well as gluten while several also come from the vegetable, grains and nuts. Till now the only study on this diet is one month research that included 47 people. It related the weight loss on Eco Atkins diet to high carbohydrate, low calorie diet, that's meatless but resulting most of the proteins from number of dairy products and also eggs.

For both the diets weight loss was alike, just squat of 9 pounds in a single month. While decrease in LDL cholesterol attention and full amount cholesterol was better for low-carbohydrate as compared with the high carbohydrate diet. On both the diets LDL cholesterol has been dropped.

This research explains that decreasing carbohydrates doesn't mean growing meat as well as harmful fats. We all are aware of the fact that green vegetables are extremely healthy and can provide you the necessary energy even when you are on a diet. So, if you are looking for ways of losing weight, few can be a better option that this plan of dieting.

Another great method is known as Colon Cleansing which removes toxins from the body. Read about it and more Diet Reviews now.

Cove's Comments: I have personally adapted the original Atkins Diet for my own use. And it works wonders for me. I did not follow a regime of meat and meat diet as advocated by the Atkins Diet. But what I did was to modify it by including vegetables, wholemeal and multi-grain bread. And I managed to lose weight. Of course, I also include moderate exercises too. Weight Loss: Getting Your Weight Loss Plan Right

Yes we have heard about this weight loss plan and that weight loss plan. There are a number of it in the market. But at the end of the day, you will have to make a value judgement to see which is more suitable for you. And that must be based on your opinion that it is the best for you, because you know you will stick to that weight loss plan. The following article is a good starting point to look at to help you arrive at a weight loss decision.

Article: Weight Loss Diet Plans Abound By Alan LeStourgeon

So many people struggle with being overweight and with the variety of weight loss diet plans that it can be hard for them to find the right one, let alone lose weight. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of different diet plans and workouts out there that people have created and promoted for many years, and every year it seems like there's a new trend that comes about that is the 'ultimate' or the 'new secret' or something such thing.

With all of these different programs, it's no wonder people get confused with something as simple as picking a plan or buying a diet book or a healthy eating guide. Add to the multitude of weight loss diet plans the mounds of conflicting information out there about diets and weight loss, and you're just doubling the confusion. People just want to lose weight and be healthy, and it's so hard to figure out how to do that in the best way possible because of all of the variables.

If you are trying to lose weight you may already have plans and different information to choose from, but you also have to consider you own goals, your needs, and what you have time for. Everyone is different, which is why so many diet plans can be helpful, but it's gotten a little out of control in the past decade, and someone needs to draw the line somewhere. And because of the multitude of plans available today, that person has to be you.

Giving people so many options of weight loss clinics, books, supplements, doctors, and weight loss diet plans seems like a good idea at first because it allows them the freedom to choose. However, with the many plans and resources, the freedom is often replaced by confusion and uncertainty about which solutions are best. Often, the best way to resolve this issue is to visit a non-program affiliated diet clinic or nutritionist that can help you to develop a healthy lifestyle plan for yourself or choose one of the many diets already out there for your needs. You can also go to your local book store and study the diet section to help you make an informed choice.

Everyone has their own ideas about which methods are best. Some people will promote this book while others will promote that book or a different plan, and so on. The tedious part of the situation comes in doing the research to determine what will work best for you. Find a plan that focuses on what you need: healthy nutrition, convenience, or muscle building. Then, research the plans that serve your needs to figure out which one you would stick to and see the best results with. Trial and error might end up being your method of selection, but don't give up because you will find what works eventually as long as you do your due diligence.

Cove's Comments: In order to lose weight, it sometimes is similar to a hit and run plan. Why do I say that? There will be misses because the weight loss plan that you thought is suitable for you may not be so. But do not be discouraged. All of us have gone through it in one way and another. Carry on and look for the right weight loss plan and I am sure you will succeed. You can find out more weight loss tips at Weight Loss Information: 101 Tips On Weight Loss.

Weight Loss: Just getting the basics right on weight loss

There are lots of advertisements out there in the market about weight loss. But most of these weight loss programs claim to have a one size fit all solution. But lets get real here, there is no such thing as a one size fit all diet. Each of us is as different from each other as the other person. So even those so called customised weight loss programs that we often heard of have to be tweaked to fit the individuals. Just read the following article for information first.

Fat Loss - Be Certain About Your Weight Loss Diet By Diane A'Wilson
Weight loss seems to be a fad these days, understandably so, with the countless suffering from some degree of obesity resulting from the doing things with less effort and more conveniences these days. But undergoing any weight loss regimen is more than a fad. You are effectively tinkering with the natural way your body works and you better have some good methods to achieve the results you want but without compromising on your health. There is rationale thinking behind it that should predicate any weight loss program.

Weight loss may not succeed for everyone. Or not suited. Different individuals respond differently for any given dieting plan. You have to learn what your body can and cannot do. And more importantly you have to understand how you got to your condition that you think will need dieting. You just assume you needed one because you're overweight. Perhaps there's a deeper reason to that. You could be suffering from some medical disorder that impairs your metabolic rate or retain more fluids that you should.

Get the facts right

One of the first steps to know you have the capacity to undertake its rigors is to learn what your body can and cannot do. Learn about the proper nutrition and what each of them can do for your body as well as the right levels. Know the right foods that contain these nutrients for a balanced meal. And as stated earlier, learn your body condition if it should and can undertake the rigors of any dieting plan. For this, you will need to consult with your doctor and even go through a medical and physical check-up.

Know the Right Weight Loss Diet for You

Once you're declared medically sound, (not fit because you're overweight) get advice from your dietician. Falling short of that, you can learn as much as your can on the internet as the wealth of knowledge abounds online.

Cove's Comments: Weight loss is just the first step. Continuously keeping it away is an endless battle. But it can be done. More weight loss information can be found at Weight Loss For All.
